Barchester’s Edingley Lodge Care Home celebrate two residents’ birthdays




Two care home residents have celebrated their birthday on the same day.

Jean and Reg, of Edingley Longe Care Home, both celebrated reaching their respective 93rd and 101st birthdays on May 20.

To mark the occasion, the home held a combined birthday party for the two residents and enjoyed plenty of birthday cake and presents.

As a special surpirse, Reg was kindly visited members of a local rugby team, as he has always had a deep love for the sport, having played for many years.

Edingley Lodge staff organised the surprise as they knew this would mean a lot to him.

General Manager at Edingley Lodge, Jilu Stephen, said: “It is wonderful to be able to celebrate this occasion with these residents who love life and enjoy having fun.”
