Emergency services pull person out of the River Trent in Newark

Emergency services have rescued a person from the River Trent in Newark.

A presence of police, ambulance, and fire service personnel was reported to the rear of Northgate Retail Park this afternoon (May 28).

Nottinghamshire Police have since confirmed a person has been pulled from the water.

They were subsequently taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
