Firefighters from Edwinstowe, Tuxford, Warsop, Eastwood and Worksop fire stations put out open fire at Sherwood Pines




Firefighters attended a fire in the open at Sherwood Pines yesterday (June 15).

Firefighters from Edwinstowe, Tuxford, Warsop, Eastwood and Worksop fire stations were in attendance.

Around 4,000 square meters of forestry and undergrowth that were on fire were extinguished with help from the Polaris and new Small Fire Units.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are advising people to pack a picnic instead of a BBQ, dispose of their cigarettes appropriately and take their rubbish with them.
