Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service called to well alight van fire in Cotgrave




Crews were called to a vehicle fire on Saturday evening.

Firefighters left their station just before 8pm to attend the blaze on Candleby Lane, Cotgrave.

They discovered one van well alight on arrival.

Crews from West Bridgford used two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, as well as two hose reel jets and dry powder.

The fire service updated its Twitter account: "19:54 #WestBridgfordStn19 attended a vehicle fire on Candleby Lane #Cotgrave.

"This involved 1 van well alight, crews used 2 BA, 2 hose reel jets and dry powder extinguishers to extinguish the fire."
