Kinky Boots the musical to visit Theatre Royal Nottingham with Strictly Star in lead role

A Strictly star is set to shine on stage in an all-new production of fan-favourite musical Kinky Boots.

After inheriting his family's failing shoe factory and with a relationship on the rocks, life is proving to be very challenging for Charlie Price.

That is until he meets Lola, a drag queen whose sparkle and unsteady heels might just hold the answer to saving the struggling business.

The brand-new Made at Curve production of the Olivier, Tony, and Grammy Award-winning Kinky Boots The Musical, will visit the Theatre Royal Nottingham from Tuesday, July 1, to Saturday, July 5, as part of its current tour.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Johannes Radebe stars as Lola, Dan Partridge is Charlie Price, and Courtney Bowman is Lauren.

The Broadway and West End phenomenon is based on a true story and movie of the same name released in 2005.

It features a score by Cyndi Lauper and will be directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster.
