Lincolnshire Police searching Bassingham area in connection with Lincoln murder investigation

Police investigating a murder are conducting searches in a village.

Lincolnshire Police have launched a murder investigation following the report of an incident at Shuttleworth House, Lincoln, on March 24.

Searches linked to this ongoing investigation are taking place in the Bassingham area where items are currently being recovered from the river.

A 27-year-old local man has been arrested and remains in custody.

An appeal has now been launched for CCTV footage to aid the investigation.

There will be an increased police presence in both Bassingham and Lincoln as enquiries continue.
