Pictures from the scene of fire at Briggs Metals, Newark
The scrapyard fire is being attended by six fire engines, with no casualties reported.
The fire occurred this morning at Briggs Metals, on Great North Road, Newark and was attended by six engines, the Water and Foam Unit and the Command Support Unit.
In 2019 the scrapyard was experienced a huge blaze involving 1,000 tonnes of scrap metal. It raged for more than 24 hours.
However the incident this time was not so serious.
Briggs Metals said it was a small fire which it had managed to put out themselves, but called the fire brigade anyway.
In an update the fire service said: "There are no casualties and fire engines will start to be released from the scene shortly.
"Re-inspections will take place throughout the day."
