AA Record Fair returns to Newark Buttermarket for a fifth time

More than 12,000 vinyls of all genres are to be on sale this Saturday (May 31) as AA Record Fairs returns for a fifth time to the town centre.

Co-funders Adrian Wells and Andrew Wilkinson of the Sheffield-based record fair have been hosting record fairs for nearly 30 years.

The event at Newark Buttermarket will have 20 different stalls with an offer between 12,000 to 15,000 different records with prices ranging from over £1 to hundreds of pounds.

The duo, which does around 100 record days a year within a 66-mile radius of Sheffield, said that they want to bring something for everybody and all tastes.

Adrian said: “We really enjoy coming to Newark, there is always such a great collection of people, and we just love hearing what people think of music and what they want to see more of.

“It is a really vibrant day.”

The event will feature vinyl, CDs and rare finds of all genres, and both collectors and curious visitors are welcome to the free event from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
