Traffic between Newark and Sleaford as man dies on the A17

A man has died following a single vehicle collision this morning.

The A17 near Brant Broughton was closed in both directions earlier after the driver of a grey Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a collision and died.

There is currently queueing traffic on the A17 at Brant Broughton turnoff as the incident was first reported at 7.52am.

The driver’s family has been informed.

The road reopened around 9.40am, however, residual delays remain.

The average speed is 10mph with increasing delays on A17 Eastbound between Long Lane and Stragglethorpe Lane.

It is also affecting traffic between Newark and Sleaford.
