POLL: Would you be prepared to pay more council tax to Nottinghamshire County Council in order to safeguard services?

It is proposed that residents will pay nearly 5% more in council tax to Nottinghamshire County Council next year.

The Conservative-led authority is putting forward a 4.8% increase — made up of a 2.8% rise in council tax and 2% Adult Social Care Levy — which they blame on the rise in cost of living.

However, the council leader Ben Bradley believes residents would be prepared to pay the increase to ensure vital services are protected.

The proposal will be discussed at a cabinet meeting on January 26 and seek approval from full council on February 9.
